Found something interesting while cleaning out some old stuff back at my parents. This is a ticket from a beam back game at Ibrox.

Before Sky tv was as widespread as is it today Rangers used to sell tickets to come watch away games on the big screens in the ground. To be honest it wasn’t really that great as you got a cramped seat and a sore neck from twisting round to look at the screen nearest you. But it was an interesting experiment.

This ticket is important however as quite a few thousand of us packed into Ibrox that day due to it being the final day of the season and we still held out hopes of making it 10 in a row if Celtic slipped up in their game against St Johnstone.

Sadly despite us winning 2-1, Celtic won 2-0 and lifted the SPL trophy that season denying us a record breaking 10 league titles in a row.

Still it was onwards and upwards after that as Walter Smith stepped aside to make way for a certain little Dutchman.
